Each image is saved at the best quality that fits, made smaller only if it has to be. PNGs are saved as JPG.
Lower = smaller files. 70–85% is usually indistinguishable.

    How it works

    1. Drop your JPG, PNG or WebP image here, or click Choose images. You can add several at once.
    2. The maximum file size is already set to 10 KB. Change it if your form asks for a different limit.
    3. Click Compress images. Each picture is saved at the best quality that fits, and made smaller in pixels only if it has to be.
    4. Download your file. Every result is marked when it is under 10 KB.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I get my signature under 10 KB?

Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, photograph or scan it, and crop away the empty space around it before compressing. Less background means more of the 10 KB goes to the signature itself, so it stays crisp.

What if my form also has a minimum size?

Some forms reject files that are too small as well as too big. The tool aims just under the limit you set and keeps as much quality as fits, so results usually land close to it. If your form allows a range, set the target to the top of that range.

Why does my photo come out so small at 10 KB?

A typical photo needs to be about 170 × 230 pixels to fit in 10 KB while still looking clean. The tool shrinks the picture rather than making it blocky, which is what forms expect for a small ID photo.

Is my image uploaded when I compress it to 10 KB?

No. The compression runs in your browser, so your photo never leaves your device. That also makes it quick: there is nothing to upload or download from a server.

    What fits in 10 KB

10 KB is one of the tightest limits you will meet, usually for a scanned signature or a small ID photo on an application form. A signature compresses very well because it is mostly white paper, so it can stay sharp at 10 KB. A photo has to be small in pixels to fit.

As a rough guide, a typical photo fits in 10 KB at about 170 × 230 pixels while still looking clean. Pictures with plain backgrounds, such as signatures and documents, can keep more pixels; busy, detailed photos need fewer.
